🗓️ Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th May from 10-5pm
🌮 a line up of local traders and food trucks
🎶 live music
🎟️ online tickets have sold out but you can pay on the door £4.50 per adult, kids are free
🐾 dog friendly in the outside areas not the marquees
🎭 yoga, face painting, sport activities and other entertainment throughout the weekend

Let’s not ✨

📍 @nobishotelpalma - realised I didn’t share this gem when I stayed here, one of the most beautiful hotels in old town Palma if you’re heading for a city break.

It used to be a historic old muslim palace that has been converted into 5 star luxury by Scandinavian Nobis Hospitality Group. There is restaurant NOI, a beautiful bar lounge, a sun terrace and rooftop, a spa and a range of rooms and suites. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the rooftop suites it was gorgeous.

It’s perfect if you want city break or off season, but it doesn’t have a pool if you’re in wanting a sun holiday.

And at least three of my friends have gone crazy for the scallop this past week. Book a stool on the balcony for epic lunchtime people watching and unbeatable seafood by the sea 🌊

Fentiman Botanical Garden at Fenwick 🌸

Ad| Step into summer at the @fentimansltd Botanical Garden Café, a summery new pop-up inside @fenwickofficial Newcastle that brings together two iconic North East brands to celebrate 120 years of Fentimans.

I was invited to try this new all things bright and beautiful garden-inspired café so went along yesterday for lunch. It’s filled with florals, fruit and foliage, transforming the room into a conservatory-style space to enjoy a seasonal menu of botanical cocktails and dishes infused with Fentimans’ signature flavours.

I tried:
☕️ The Botanical Brew Raspberry Espresso – a layered cocktail that genuinely tasted like a raspberry liqueur chocolate in the best possible way!
🥙 The Botanical Buddha Bowl topped with smoked salmon
🍸 Finished with the Mint & Meadow Floral Fizz – a garden fresh mix of vodka, elderflower tonic and citrus mint, stunning

Everything is as gorgeous as it sounds, a real summer feel and the drinks are crafted by award-winning bartender Joe Schofield, so you know they’re going to be good.

This pop-up café will be open for at least 8 weeks, so make sure you pop by while it’s in bloom.

Now you can stay at Beamish!

Potters Cottage and Drovers Rest are the two new self catered cottages available to book to stay in directly in Beamish, part of the 1820s landscape. I stayed here at the weekend and really felt like I’d woken up in the past. Here’s what you need to know:

🏡 the two cottages are the original buildings that have been renovated as part of @beamish_museum latest project it’s been a while in the making i’ve been waiting ages for a chance to stay!
📍 the cottages are within the Beamish site, and come with a parking space each right next to them, a shared enclosed garden with a gorgeous view, and the garden gate leads you directly to the Beamish site you come out by the new Georgian Tavern, pottery and Pockerley Old Hall
🗺️ it’s a ten minute walk from the cottages to the 1900’s town
🛌 the cottages have been decorated as close to the 1820s era as possible, with furnishings, rugs, a fabulous four poster and bathroom styles to match. It did feel very realistic
☕️ the modern appliances you might need are there, they’re just cleverly hidden in the fixtures, the TV is in the corner cupboard, the microwave, kettle and toaster are behind the kitchen cupboard
🕯️ board games are provided including the Beamish ones, and there is wifi
🛌 both cottages sleep 2 upstairs, and have en suite bathrooms with a stand alone bath (no shower)
🐾 Potters Cottage is dog friendly

🎟️ staying at the cottages gets you free direct access to the museum for the duration of your stay
🥾 or you could explore the wider region with plenty hikes and very nice pubs close by

I loved our little stay back in time, especially how quiet Beamish is first and last thing, and we had great weather to enjoy it. You can book via @hostandstayuk or both cottages are on @airbnb

Beamish Museum 🎟️

🚃 I stayed at Beamish this weekend in one of the new 1820’s cottages (more on that later) but it meant I got to experience Beamish without the crowds on Saturday evening, and first thing after opening yesterday when it was very quiet. I made my escape once the tram loads of kids started piling in 🤣

🎺 It was lovely having an ice cream by the bandstand in the sun I’m usually just a Christmas special visitor. And of course the sweet shop. And the chippy…

🎥 The 1950s section has opened fully now with the old cinema, toy and electrical shops, the bowling green, playground and police station too.

Our cottage was just a ten minute walk from the 1900s town within the grounds, very handy!

A group of us went to the new Coleman’s in Fenwicks before the match last week. Never had rosé with fish and chips before 😂 but we all enjoyed it and the restaurant is canny with the @linesbehind wall.

Haven’t done one of these for a while as I was away so much recently. Good food spots, shops and a river walk ✅

🚗 NE61 1PA - you need a Northumberland Council parking disc and can stay for three hours here
🛍️ Sanderson Arcade, Bridge Street, Rutherfords, and lots of little independents off the main streets too
🍳 I really enjoy @themarketplacemorpeth for breakfast and it’s dog friendly
🖼️ pop into @fikagallerymorpeth to browse the art work and they’re also a cafe for coffee and pastries
🐾 pretty river walk with stepping stones

🛌 if you did want to extend your visit then stay at @themorpethapartment right on Newgate Street, it’s lovely - central, free parking, and Deb will take good care of you!
