Look at these beauties!

ad| Everyone loves a shepherd hut getaway and @gisboroughhall have really raised the bar with their three new, double size huts in their grounds close to the hall.

Shepherd Hut luxury at its best they’ve catered for everything and a bit more. This one is Pheasant, and it has:

🍽️ a fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine
🫧 a bathroom with shower, robes provides
🪵 the additional double size allows for a cosy living nook with seating area and log burner, this will be amazing in colder months
🛌 double bed with skylight
🛁 a feature copper tub
🪞 even a storage wardrobe with full length mirror (I’ve never seen this before in a hut I was very excited by it)
🔥 outdoor seating area and fire pit
💧 hot tub
🚲 cycle storage outside
👧🏻 one of the huts is family friendly
🚗 allocated parking
📍 Gisborough Hall was an hours drive from Newcastle, and you’re close to the North Yorkshire Moors as well as the coast for day trips to Saltburn, Staithes and Whitby

I’m always asked three things so here’s the answers:

1. Is it private? There are three huts fairly close together but positioned so they’re private especially the hot tubs

2. Are they dog friendly? No - there are dog friendly rooms in the hotel itself which is where I stayed but the huts are furry friend free

3. Is there a pub/bar/food on site or walking distance? Yes - you have Gisborough Hall which has a fancy restaurant or a bar and grill, an outside terrace

I love a summer glamp but I’m hoping to go back in autumn when I can get Arthur looked after, they’re pretty special!

Bamburgh Under Canvas 🏕️

You’ve probably seen that for the fourth year running Bamburgh has been voted the best UK coastal town with top marks for everything.

I loved our last minute stay at @bamburghundercanvas last year, they’re just a 2 minute drive outside of Bamburgh village. They’re also offering 10% off midweek July stays and the forecast looks mainly canny this next week ☀️

There are 5 lotus tents, each sleeps 2 in a proper comfy double bed, and one comes with a hot tub. It is an adult only site.

🪵 log burners in each tent with cooking capabilities on top
🔥 fire pit outside
☕️ a mini kitchen area with plates, glasses and coffee/tea bags. there’s a shared kitchen area where you can boil a kettle or make food if you want to
🧊 a cool box for wine storage!
🐾 dog friendly
🚿 There are two converted horse box bathrooms which are lovely inside, and you a provided with towels in your tent
🚗 parking on site
📱 no electricity but there are battery powered lamps and they provide battery packs to charge your phone. there is full signal I even did a few hours work here
🌅 beautiful sunset views over northumberland

📍 Heathergate Boutique Park, Hexham

ad| Here’s a full lodge tour of Arwen Prestige spa lodge - probably the nicest I’ve ever stayed in it was so spacious and well done. Here’s a few reasons why:

☀️ the deck, absolutely massive, private and had seating and dining areas outside
🫧 the hot tub, steam room and sauna meant you could have your own private spa day - robes were also provided
🛋️ there were two lounge areas, the main open plan space with smart TV and fireplace, also a seperate quiet nook room with views over the hills if you wanted peace or to read a book
🍽️ kitchen dining area was fully equipped, a full dining table and a kitchen island. We cooked and got a takeaway from Hexham
🛌 bedrooms were great, there was a huge double which had two fitted wardrobes, a dressing table and en suite with shower and bath. The twin had the same minus the bath. The sofa was also a sofa bed so it could technically sleep 6
🖥️ the smart tv had netflix, and there is wifi
🚗 parking
🐾 some lodges are dog friendly - this one isn’t, plenty bins on site
🔒 there are two areas so the park, this section with all of these lodges is gated for even more security and privacy.
🏊🏻‍♀️ The on site facilities include a reception, a gym and a pool that you can book online to use

📍 @heathergate_boutiqueholiday park is less than ten mins drive to Hexham - and in a great spot for exploring Northumberland

There were only two of these spa lodges but the site itself had some gorgeous other lodges that you can rent or buy if you’re in the market for a holiday home

ad| There are just two of these prestige spa lodges on @heathergate_boutiqueholiday park near Hexham and I’ve not seen any quite like them before.

As well as a sunken hot tub on the deck with sunset views, they have their own steam room and sauna too. Push the button and they’re ready for use in 15 minutes.

Get your robe on, open a bottle of wine and dip straight into your own private spa break from the comfort of your own lodge.

That time of year again, right on schedule like an unwanted Mrs Browns Boys Christmas special, where I share a post like this.

I’ve talked a lot this year about how utterly bonkers the internet, blog and social media industry has got. There are some absolutely bloody brilliant genuine North East accounts out there that haven’t been around long, but there’s also still people like me who started yonks ago, didn’t grow 10k overnight, feels as slow and boring as 120 minutes under Gareth Southgate, and did it for no reason other than sharing the good places we travel to or drink or eat.

I’ll still say I’ll never go full time. So I’ll just continue to plod on taking my silly little photos and daft little videos of the places I love, and sharing the same things I always have.

📍 Stang Hideaway - luxury cabin in Teesdale a

📍 Stang Hideaway - luxury cabin in Teesdale

ad| Stang Hideaway is one of two cabins at Hillcrest Park by @meridianparks - the dog friendly of the two, where Arthur and I enjoyed a stay last week.

Hillcrest Park is between Richmond and Barnard Castle so a great spot for exploring North Yorkshire, Teesdale and the North Pennines AONB.

🛌 sleeps 2 in the biggest comfiest bed ever
🛁 en suite with bathtub and double shower and sink - the bathroom was fab not many have a tub and toiletries and towels were provided
🍽️ kitchen had everything you’d need except an oven, you can also order in from local businesses
🖥️ if you want to stay connected there’s wifi and a smart tv with netflix, prime etc
🌳 outside deck with seating, a fire pit and a lookout. Sadly it was far too windy while I was there but the views over Teesdale were beautiful
🐾 this one was dog friendly, the other of the two isn’t and comes with a hot tub
🚗 parking space provided.

The park itself is fairly small and also on site are caravan pitches, a couple of holiday cottages, and they’re working on privately owned lodges.

The two cabins are on the edge overlooking the countryside and are both very private, set back from the road. I really enjoyed it here it had some lovely luxury touches and plenty nearby for days out.
